40, surprise me! :)

I used to be a planner, but through the years, I’ve become less of it and have found the beauty and joy in not planning too much and just going with the flow.

For special occasions, my parents and I, we usually just eat out, have coffee afterwards, and that’s it. I’m not a party person so I prefer intimate and simple celebrations.

For my 40th, I just wanted to try to travel solo, but I wasn’t able to plan for it because of more important matters to prioritise. But it’s okay, I’ll do it some other time.

On the week of my birthday, my mind was focused on being with family in Abra for Kaeleb’s birthday. I had no plans whatsoever for my own birthday, so God has planned something for me through my family — my brother-in-law and my sister.

In the morning of my birthday, we went to Ucab Falls. The falls was so beautiful and also quite an adventure to explore! I was praying that none of us would get hurt or injured along the way. I’ve landed badly on my left foot after sliding and thought I’ve injured my left ankle, but thank God, I still managed to walk after the fall and enjoyed the rest of the experience.

In the afternoon, I was able to do one of my fave hygge moments, that is to drink coffee with some sweets, with the whole family.

A surrendered life is something that I learned to live by.
It’s much less stressful and much more worthwhile.
We can never go wrong when we allow God to take charge of our lives. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
